Fulani Ritualists Arrested as Attacks Intensify in Southern Kaduna

Even as Fulani militias have stepped up their attacks in many parts of Southern Kaduna, report reaching us from a reliable source has it that two Fulani ritualists were paraded at the Kafanchan Area Command of the Nigerian Police Force on the 5th July, 2015.
The suspected ritualists, who many believe the authorities were initially hiding from the public, were caught with human skulls and other skeletal parts of the body.

This is happening in a week which witness many attacks in different parts of the southern part of the state, among which are the following:
On the night of Tuesday 5th July, 2015
  1. Fulani herdsmen attacked Kabene, a Kuvouri (Surubu) village of Kumana Chiefdom, Kauru Local Government Area (LGA). The attackers destroyed a church building, injured many and abducted the Pastor.
  1. Fulani herdsmen attacked Jumunu Village inChikun LGA killing one Mr Garba and njured his son. Garba was buried yesterday, 6th July, 2016 and the son who was critically injured is still recuperating in Sanasi Hospital in Nassarawa.
  2. Still within the week, one Shedrach Madlion informed AIT News that “6 commercial farmers and 23 female small-scale farmers have been kidnapped in Kaduna within the space of a week”. With Gonin Gora, Dutse and Sarkin Pawa the hardest hit areas. These unfortunate incidences are now forcing farmers to stay away from farms for fear of being kidnapped by the perpetrators who are believed to be Fulani herdsmen. This is happening at a time when government is both advising us to go back to farm and making efforts to create grazing reserves for the headers

Community leaders are hereby advice to educate their subjects to be more vigilant and should come up with measures to counter the ugly trend since the government has appeared either helpless or unwilling to arrest the situation. - Echoesofhope
