Security Operatives Teargased Youths Protesting The Killing Of 1st Class Monarch In Jos.

Security operatives led by men of the Nigeria Police Force and Civil Defense on Thursday used tear gas and gun shots to break up a rally protesting the recent killing of a first class chief in Plateau State, the Saf Ron Kulere, Da Lazarus Agai and some members of his family, injuring at least 5 people with many others arrested including the leader of the protesters, Yamtal.

The angry youths under the hacchtag,  #Plateauspeaks, who carried placards and leaves, wept and sang  as they processed peacefully on the major streets of Jos to Former government house Rayfield.

Some of the placards carried by the protesting workers read: "When will this killings stop", ‘Are the unknown gunmen spirits," ‘ Enough of the killings, we are tired,’ "No to grazing reserves and whatever" and " The killers of the Saf Ron Kulere must be unravel" "We are asking for justice."

Other inscriptions are "The era of monkey dey work baboon dey chop is over"
"Proposed grazing reserves by Governor Lalong is a crime and a setup to eliminate us."

The security operatives reportedly scattered the protest at the gate of the government house in less than thirty minutes with the help of tear gas and gun shots.

The rally was staged in response to Monday's brutal attack in which the Saf Ron Kulere and 3 members of his family were ambushed and killed.

One of the police officers even threatened to kill the protesters and nothing will happen.

“We will kill you, you bastards, you think you can go and collect money and come here to disturb us." a police man was heard shouting during the attack,

One of the female protesters told our reporter that“We were beaten and teargased by more than 30 security operatives  I don’t even know how we made it out."

She said that nobody had anticipated the attack as they acted peacefully during the protests.

Our correspondent reliably gathered that over 10 youths and some women were gunned down by members of the Joint Task Force in Bokkos town.
