GBAGYI SOUND MIND KADUNA STATE. (Sacrificing our today, for a better future)

A CLARION CALL TO GOVERNOR NASIRU AHMED EL-RUFAI
The above mentioned organization GBAGYI SOUND MINDS, after due consultations, meetings and interaction with relevant stakeholders, decided to write to the Executive Governor of Kaduna State on some pressing issues. A clarion call to Governor Nasiru Ahmed El-rufai to act on some issues that affect the good and peaceful loving people of the GBAGYI'S in Kaduna State.

Your Excellency, after the 11th April 2015 Governorship election, that led to your unprecedented victory and made you emerge as the executive Governor of Kaduna State, you granted an interview to register your sincere appreciation to the good people of Kaduna  State of which you applauded the effort of the good people of  Chikun Local Government area, who are predominantly Gbagyi people, for their total support for you by voting massively for you and saw to it that you emerge victorious at the polls, one would have expected that the indigenes of this Local Government area will be well represented in your Noble government. But its with great shock and disbelief that what we see today is just an outright game of marginalization played on the Gbagyi people, which is not part of the social contract signed and  sealed on 11th April 2015.

On security, Your Excellency we wish to draw your attention that, there have been ceaseless attacks in our villages and communities, some unscrupulous criminal elements have made our villages safe haven for kidnapping, murder, rape and cattle rustling, they have displaced our people and made them flee from their ancestral homes, we want your Excellency to look at this matter as a matter of urgency, to bring an end to the security challenges.

On the lingering Gbagyi Villa issue, we urged and plead with the Governor to look at this issue with a heart of mercy, which we know he has. We plead with you sir to kindly reconsider your stands and give us room for proper negotiations that will bring an end to the issue of land tussle and encroachment of government lands, we wish to have a situation of "No victor, no vanquish".

We want to also add our voice in pleading with the governor to look at our traditional institutions and carry them along in the project of making Kaduna State Great Again, being the true custodians of our culture and values, they have also been contributing a great deal in ensuring peaceful coexistence is guaranteed in our communities.
Finally, we will love to show our profound gratitude to his Excellency for citing the OLAM Farms Project in Chikun Local Government area and other numerous intending projects which will be cited in our localities. We also beseech on his Excellency to kindly grant our people more opportunities to serve in his government, so we will have the privilege to contribute our quota in making Kaduna State Great Again.

We pledge our total support and goodwill to this administration, together we will make our state GREAT AGAIN!!!

Signed
Comrade Jim Gami Makama
Mr. David J. Tanko
