Daughter of President Karimov confirms the death of her father

   

The official Government sources have confirmed that the longest-ruling Muslim leader from the Soviet era Islam Karimov has died aged 78, News of Karimov’s death was considered as premature.  However, the daughter of the late leader put a full stop in the controversy by announcing the death of her father on Instagram.

 

Officials say Uzbekistan is holding a funeral for President Islam Karimov on September 3, Saturday.The funeral appeared probably to take place in Karimov’s hometown of Samarkand, where his mother and two brothers are also buried. Municipal authorities there mobilized public workers to clean the central streets .
