Nigerian Army Senior Officer killed by suspected Boko Haram members


Suspected Boko Haram members have ambushed and killed yet another senior Nigerian Army officer. He is Lt. Col. Otos Umusu pictured above, the Commanding Officer, 118 Task Force Battalion in Borno State.


According to military sources, Umusu and his security details were killed after an IED planted on the ground, went off along the Sari-Gudumbali road yesterday December 12th. They were heading to their base in Baga when their vehicle stepped on the IED.

Last month, two senior officers, Lt. Col Muhammed Abu-Ali and Lt. Col B.U. Umar were killed during an ambush by the sect members in Borno. May his soul rest in peace Amen.
