"I don't want your endorsement; all I need is your support". Comrade Danladi Boyis Hassan
Chaired by an elder statesman & and one time Senator, the meeting went straight into the business of the day after prayers were said. The Chairman, in his opening speech, cautioned all present to be mindful of the fact that the event was not for unguarded campaigns of calumny but for mutual understanding & respect for opinions.
On this note, the convener, DBH, went straight to state his reason(s) for gathering party faithfuls, Stakeholders & well wishers. He mentioned, amongst other things, the need for him to correct a damning impression about his aspirations and misinformation making the rounds, spined and spread by agents of darkness who strive in confusion & lies. To this end, DBH sounded it clear to all gathered as he confirmed & reconfirmed that, his aspiration to contest for the membership of the House of Representative, Jema'a/Sanga Federal Constituency remains so to the very end; all talks about some persons being purportedly 'endorsed' by some misguided party Exco of his home Ward, supported by some elements in other wards, were mere ruses contrived out of fear and mischief. Unperturbed, he went further to state that the Constitutional backing he enjoys gives him strength as much as the Word on which he stand, inspires & gives him courage to go about consulting with his followers/supporters & well wishers. As such, he remains dauntless and focused in his continued efforts toward realizing his dreams, especially now that the party is coming up strong.
Lastly, he called on all gathered, to eschew politics of bitterness. This, according to DBH, has the potential of beclouding our senses of reasoning when it comes to making choices & taking critical political decisions that affect people as individuals, or as a party.
Thereafter, some stakeholders took turn to eulogize the People's choice. All were united in their speeches, hopes & prayers for the success of Comrade Danladi Boyis Hassan, who they all believe has the mental ability, political disposition & the goodwill of his people to step into the Green Chambers as Member, Representing Jema'a/Sanga Federal Constituency come 2018.
