Kaduna Will Be Great Again - 338 By George Makeri

The killings that motivated this episode is the Godogodo massacres. By June 2016 Ninte came under attack.
Before the victims of the Ninte attack could be reconciled and rehabilitated, four other communities came under attack 2 August 2016.
What is curious is how the government of El-Rufai refused to send troops on time to quell the situation. Even though the governor was briefed on that very 2 August, as at 5 August, the interim chairman, Katuka Humble, was still expecting the arrival of troops.

The SOKAPU national president, Barrister SK Musa, bemoaned how his calls and messages were treated with levity on this massacres by the El-Rufai government. The police SP JM Ashafa who led the assault to bravely repel the murderers with disadvantaged weapons against superior weapons of the calibre of RPGs, received threats and queries not praises from his boss ACP Ibrahim Abubakar. I guess the ACP Ibrahim Abubakar was angry that the police didn't run on sighting superior weapons, but instead stood their grounds and fought against all odds. You will recall that the party officials of APC, when in the opposition, practically encouraged soldiers to run away from bokoharam under the excuse of poor weaponry. The assailants were repelled by the police and they were spotted retreating through Sanga. When the soldiers eventually arrived after over 72 hours of delay, they began to arrest persons in connection with the massacres even after the culprits have fled. As I write, natives were still complaining of silent killings even after the heavy security presence. About six extra boys have been killed while at their farms and the army were insisting their order was to stay only on major roads and only in one town. The interim chair, Katuka Humble, talks too much. I wouldn't know whether he is the chairman as well as the spokesman of Jama'a Local Goverment area. His utterances, since the beginning of this crisis, is dangerous to the local government he is chairing. Reality is staring his local government hard in the face but he kept playing politics in his numerous destructive utterances. How would you blame your peaceful people for such satanic attacks? How will you blackmail your people to sit for a meeting 5 August 2016 with the fulanis and resolve issues or continue to witness such attacks since the security men won't remain there for ever? You have just sentenced your people to continual attacks with your miscalculated utterances. What now would you say with the continuous killings even after your elixir of a meeting and the heavy security presence? Katuka Humble, I don't envy you at all and I will never want to be in your position - it is a pretty messy situation you got on your laps and you are making it more messy in your attempt to clear up the mess through your numerous unguarded utterances. I know you are a good man, but brother your boss sits with Lucifer in hell and you are dining with him using a short spoon, you certainly will get smashed. Around August 2015, the Agwai committee submitted its report and El-Rufai vowed to implement it alongside the Yakowa 2011 post-election violence peace and reconciliation report. He also vowed that no such committee would be inaugurated again as a solution has been found. Why did you have to hold any peace and reconciliation meeting again Katuka Humble? Didn't you hear of the Bondong massacre of 2014 as the aftermath of Barnabas Bala Bantex's such meetings in Manchok? Why follow the same destructive path? What then is the use of the Agwai and Yakowa Reports that the governor promised to implement? What then is the use of the governor's campaign promises that nobody will kill another and go scot-free. If after the arrest made by soldiers and with the heavy security presence, six boys could still lose their lives then even the soldiers and not to be trusted - they are useless and have no buisness remaining there. Let the soldiers go back to their base, we have no use of them.  Arm able and gallant boys in Godogodo to take their security into their hands. Self help is the best help. Governor El-Rufai too is not to be trusted given the levity with which he treated the issue and the hypocrisy of vowing to implement the Agwai and Yakowa report. Make those report available to the public Mr. Governor. Do the reports also recommend that fulanis should continue to massacre natives? Do the reports recommend that you treat security issue that has to do with southern Kaduna people with levity since they don't share your ethnic and religious slants? Do the reports advocate that you continue to give the people false hope of security while you sit pretty on your smug ass in Kashim Ibrahim House as they are being massacred. You are a huge disgrace and disappointment Mr. Governor and you simply have to resign because you are incapable of keeping your vows and fulfilling your fundamental responsibility of ensuring safety of lives and properties of the people as enshrined in the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria from whence you derived your legitimacy as Governor of Kaduna State. If you are working by any other document outside the one that gives you power, you are not only a traitor but a criminal and unfit to be the chief public servant of the state.
