Kaduna Will Be Great Again - 349 By George Makeri
According to the statement, the recent protest staged by SOKAPU alongside SK professionals was done by a rented crowd hired by fifth columnists working against the state government for cheap political gains. The statement praised the state government for working round the clock to redeem it's electoral promises and argued that the present challenges confronting the state are part of the legacies of the previous administration. He concluded that insecurity is a global phenomenon and the government is tackling insurgency and militancy head-on.
In his words: "I'm a Christian and concerned son of Southern Kaduna, but it pains me how some of my people get easily hoodwinked by politicians into organised mischief".
Let's look at the matters arising here.
1. Majority of southern Kaduna people are behind the loan repayment cum 30 percentage Governor Nasir El-Rufai. This majority are not in SOKAPU (the only known umbrella body of southern Kaduna) with its president, Barrister S.K. Musa, and other officials in attendance at the protest; no. This majority are not the SK professionals with gladiators like Mark Jacob Nzamah in attendance, no. This majority are not the victimised southern Kaduna people who are still suffering insecurity even with the deployment of military by the working round the clock governor as just two days ago a man was hacked to death in the same area, no. This majority is not any of the multiple interest group in southern Kaduna, no. This majority is one APC John Kuturu from Kachia and his fertile imagination. An unprincipled Kuturu who got enmeshed in a NEPA bill brouhaha. A fink of a Kuturu who compromised Kachia Local Goverment and supported the imposition of a Muslim IMC by a religious bigot cum ethnic chauvinist governor over a majority of Christians. This Dishonourable Kuturu even had the effrontery to call himself a Christian and concerned son of southern Kaduna. A concerned son who had never found it expedient to mourn with the victims of terrorist fulani massacres nor assist in alleviating their agony, but quick to come up and attack those with the will and wherewithal to protest the attacks and labelling them mischief makers. What a wonderful way of showing concern. A concerned son that sits pretty as deputy speaker and buying legislative buildings for five-five millions while his home is marked for either demolition or confiscation. What a way to show concern?
2. Talking about legacies of the previous administration even after 16 months in office is itself a great mischief and the height of irresponsibility. You are voted to clear off every dark vestiges of the last administration. You came in and clear off, instead, the good things done by the last administration while exacerbating the dark things and proudly telling us how inadequate and incompetent you are for comfortably living with the bad legacies of the previous administration for more than 16 months now. How comfortable is it to live with legacies that takes the lives of non-hausafulanis by hausafulanis with Hausafulanis in government. Will such legacies have been condoned for this long if the victims were majorly Hausa fulanis? Little wonder why only bokoharam and avengers were listed as terrorists absent the real terrorists. The late Lucky Dube sang: we are living in, living in, I say we are living in; this crazy world. It is indeed a crazy world with a John Kerry coming to show solidarity with crazy leaders.
3. Clearly, John Kuturu might not even be the brain behind the release after all. That release sounds like the bigot in Kashim Ibrahim House. A release that looks at bokoharam and militants as the only terrorist group in Nigeria, absent the fulani terrorists which is the fourth terrorist group on global terrorist list, reeks of a Loan repayment Governor. A release that excuses incompetence and ineptitude on the premises of legacies from the previous administration, as a result of ethnic cum religious sentiments smells of a 2011 post-election crisis reprisal attacks in southern Kaduna governor. A release that tries to black list a righteous protest in order to give the appearance of working around the clock stinks of a miserable propaganda governor.
4. We still recall the thuggery against Adams Jagaba in Kachia, during a town hall meeting, on the basis of anti party activity. We still recall the high profile and political kidnapping all over Kaduna State since the commencement of this satanic administration. We still recall many mysterious deaths in the state. A state where fulani murderers will claim responsibility for spilling blood and walk away scot-free against the campaign promises of the Lucifer in Kashim Ibrahim house, while SOKAPU youth wing leader warning about blood spilling would be harassed by the police. A government that works around the clock with extrajudicial killings and vandalism in Kakuri on Monday 29 August by Muslim thugs. What a hardworking government that dishonourable Kuturu is identifying with.
5. Dishonourable Kuturu John Ayuba, you know you are a huge joke right? You are a slave and subservient to the demon in Kashim Ibrahim House. You don't have jack to tell to the world that was not given to you by that demon. We know you love your powerless and rubber stamp deputy speaker position. We know you want to remain in the good books of the demons that govern this country even at the expense of your people's blood. We know you are afraid of APC thugs like they did to Adams Jagaba. We know you afraid of being kidnapped like the did to Abdulmalik D. We know you value your office way above the safety of the lives and properties of your people which is the primary responsibility of government that your government is failing to provide and you are failing to hold them accountable for but rather advancing powder-puff defence in their favour. We know all these so hold onto your values and hope death doesn't follow you.
