Senate To Buhari: Declare State of Emergency In Southern Kaduna
Southern Kaduna experienced the killing of thousand of people since. 2013 by suspected Fulani herdsmen without the government doing enough to stem it.
On Sunday, 45 people were gruesomely murdered in Kamaru ward, Chawai Chiefdom in Kauru local government area of the state.

The villages attacked were Ungwan Rimi, Kitakum, Ungwan Magaji and Kigam.
Speaking in today’s plenary, Senator representing the area, Danjuma La’ah, moved a motion on the ‘immediate need for the Declaration of State of Emergency in Southern Kaduna.
He said the move was necessary, following the general condition of insecurity in Southern Kaduna.
Senator La’ah described the attacks as unjustifiable and evil to humanity.
“We can’t continue to fold our arms. while innocents lives are being maimed and killed on a daily basis,” La’ah said.

The Senate resolved that President Muhammadu Buhari should immediately declare a state of emergency on security in the area.
