Gunmen abduct former Foreign Affairs Minister, Bagudu Hirse in Kaduna
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bagudu Hirse, was today abducted outside the home of President Buhari's nephew, Mamman Daura, on Inuwa Wada road in Kaduna.
According to reports, Hirse had gone to pay a condolence visit to the family of the late Sultan of Sokoto, Ibrahim Dasuki on kabiru road, few meters away from Inuwa Wada road.
After his visit, himself and a friend decided to make a brief stopover at Mamman Daura's home. As they alighted form his car, they stopped to greet some guests who were leaving Daura's home. As they exchanged pleasantries, an ash colored Toyota Corolla car drove into the street at top speed and stopped in front of Hirse and his friends. Three armed masked young men jumped down from the car, accosted Hirse and ordered him to immediately enter their vehicle. As he tried to inquire why, one of the men raised his gun and fired into the air.
The former Minister obeyed their instruction and entered their car. His family is yet to hear from the abductors
